The idea is that through Danaqa, a trading style of Eachday Shared Ltd, we secure orphan assets from UK businesses, and sell and recycle them for the benefit of Fair Trade activities and supporting those impacted by Covid.
The term Liwashi Kabusha means “a rebuilt clock” in Siswati the language of Eswatini in South Africa.
PHASE 1 – Hippie Chic
Hippie Chic watches are a bohemian range of skilfully designed items allied to the Danaqa “look”. The brand was formed over several years by watch industry experts based in Scotland. Sales were almost exclusively into international airlines for sale through their in-flight magazines. With the Covid-hit airline market stalled the Hippie Chic brand looks as though it has become an orphan.
Danaqa has been able to re-assemble some of the Hippie Chic range as a complementary offering to the traditional Danaqa lines. These are highly characterful and originate in China with retail price at under £25 per unit.
Around 700 watches in 18 designs have been secured initially. These will be sold in the UK through Danaqa commencing March 2021 with the net proceeds supporting Phase 2 below.
