We are delighted that our retail outlet near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire in the UK has been able to re-open under Covid-safe Tier 2 rules.
Normally at this time of year we are busy supporting local and national charities and adding colour and variety to their Christmas Fairs. Sadly this year all of the events we normally attend have been cancelled so please share a thought for those charities missing out on seasonal income.
In our webshop at www.danaqa.com and at The Malt House Emporium you will find lots of ethically sourced stockings and stocking-fillers! Yes, we have woolly socks from Black Yak, fantastic shawls from Sabahar, Ethiopia, a fab range of recycled items from Zoggs in Eswatini and a few old favourites like elepoo stationery from Ecomaximus and reclaimed fabric jewellery from Selyn in Sri Lanka.
Always top quality, always keenly priced and doing good things for our far-flung supplier base. This darn virus is tough for us in the UK but much worse for our supplier community. Most of our sources normally have good tourist numbers to bolster income, at present most borders are closed and tourism numbers are around 10% of the usual level. We hope and pray that some form of normality can resume next year.
