As an extension to supporting artisans we are opening up a new avenue in supporting artists.
We are aiming at doing this in 2 ways, through the sale of artworks created in the same space as our Fairtrade suppliers in Eswatini and Sri Lanka, and through the sale of other assigned artworks where the origin and provenance is not so traceable.
We are delighted to kick this off with 2 works by Joseph Mushipi from Zambia who is artist in residence at a project in Eswatini. If the items sell then the proceeds will go back to his project and we will attempt to repeat this for him and other similar projects.
